Chernobyl, Pripyat, Kyiv.

In the Fall of 2021 along with a group of 14 other intrepid Photographers and Drone Pilots we ventured into the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone for some fun and photography. A week that will live long in our memories!

Pripyat (abandoned) and Chernobyl (partially abandoned) are cities in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, situated in northern Ukraine, about 90 kilometres (60 mi) north of Kyiv.

The cities were abandoned following the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster in 1986. It is now considered relatively safe to visit Pripyat and its surroundings, unless you go with the guys I went with :o)

We also visited the ruins of some stately homes left over from the Russian Revolution, some abandoned villages near Chernobyl, as well as spending some time in Kyiv.
